2026 Statewide Freight Assessment
A statewide plan to improve how goods move safely and efficiently across Wyoming.
The 2026 Wyoming Statewide Freight Assessment (SFA) is a comprehensive, multimodal transportation plan that guides decision-makers as they develop policy and project recommendations to support freight movement across the state. It evaluates current conditions, forecasts future needs, and outlines strategies to support Wyoming’s economy with a strong freight network.
The SFA will identify key infrastructure, analyze gaps in the transportation system, and recommend investments and policies to improve freight efficiency and safety. It will create a clear path for maintaining a resilient freight system that supports economic growth and the reliable movement of goods statewide.
Key Elements
- Assessment of existing and future freight conditions.
- Identification of needs and opportunities.
- A prioritized list of recommended investments.
The SFA will build on previous statewide transportation plans, while addressing freight-specific issues not covered elsewhere.
